Biography

Richard joined the firm in 2020 after acting as managing partner of a small boutique law firm in Edmonton for over 20 years. His practice focus is on residential Real Estate transactions, Commercial Real Estate matters and Corporate matters where he has represented numerous investor clients, developers, and individuals buying or selling a home in which they live. In an effort to have transactions completed “on time” and “stress free”, Richard pays particular attention to open and frequent communication to all the parties involved and spends the time needed to provide instruction on the documentation required.

With his Real Estate Investor clients, Richard has worked on and is aware of a number of investor strategies including Joint Ventures, Rent to Own, Agreements for Sale, Fix and Flip, Long Term Rental and is also comfortable advising his clients on the use of Corporations in these and other transactions. In addition, he has spoken at a number of Real Estate conferences on these and other topics in the field of Real Estate.

Outside of his professional life Richard enjoys travel, the outdoors and spending time with his wife of 30 years, their two sons, and their three English Labrador Retrievers.
